  • The water treatment technique development research project follows the royal initiation of His Majesty the King. TOC Glycol Company Limited, a subsidiary of PTT Chemical, signed the research project of “Water Treatment Technique Development following His Majesty the King’s Initiation to enhance water treatment efficiency of industrial waste water from ethylene oxide and ethylene glycol production” with the Royal-initiated Laem Phak Bia Environmental Study, Research and Development Project and Kasetsart University to develop waste water treating technique from glycol production industry as an applied model of environment for environment treatment to treat waste water contaminated with organic substances. This project is a stepping stone that leads to development of waste water treatment technique with natural method in Thailand. It is the first petrochemical plant in Thailand to implement this system.
     
  • Under the royal initiative of His Majesty the King, and in collaboration with The Chaipattana Foundation, PTT Chemical has developed plastic flap sacks to help alleviate the problem of landslides in disaster prone areas. Due to its design and flexibility, the flap sacks are suitable for high mountain slopes and its light weight and compact size make it easy for construction.
     
  • Zoo Outreach is the project to enable learning from the source, i.e. the zoo to education at schools by passing zoological experience through learning process from actual examples with visit from the zoo to schools. This program also develops awareness, knowledge, skill, attitude, and cooperation from youths in environment and forest preservation with Zoo Outreach activity. The project is a cooperation of PTT Chemical, Maxima Studio, and Khao Kheow Open Zoo to bring the zoo to elementary schools in Rayong Province.
