We believe that education is the foundation upon which we build our future. Through collaborations with schools, universities and national institutes, PTT Chemical is helping to develop the attitudes, skills, knowledge and values that will benefit youth and communities.

• Long-distance education via satellite broadcasted from Klai Kangwon Palace, Amphur Hua Hin, Prachuab Kirikhan Province to schools in Map Ta Phut District. This is the project initiated by His Majesty the King to provide education opportunity, improve education quality, and solve teacher shortage problem.
   
• Tripartite project for education quality development of which the Company cooperated with the Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University, Rayong Education District Office 1, and Map Ta Phut Sub-district Administration by providing student teacher trainees from Chulalongkorn University to practice teaching in Rayong schools to improve standard of education quality of schools in Map Ta Phut.
   
• Innovation Center and innovative projects. The Company has founded “Science and Innovation Center” which is the innovation and technology research and development center. It is the learning center of chemical products to improve Thailand’s chemical product development to compete with international level. The center also offers scholarship.
   
• Thailand Innovation Award project for petrochemical, polymer, and alternative energy category. This is to give opportunity for university students to create innovation or new research with industrial or commercial potential on domestic or international level to show their projects to the public and operators. These projects could be developed to real business operation and receive patent.
   
• Scholarship. The Company’s PTT Chemical Public Company Limited Fund offers regular scholarship. The scholarship receiver will have the right to participate in the Company’s internship program over the summer. Once graduate, the Company will consider recruiting the academically outstanding and high potential students into the Company’s Target Selection program. Besides the regular scholarship program, the Company also gives regular support to academic institute to further assist community and society.
   
• Vocational Chemical Engineering Practice School, Map Ta Phut Technical College (V-ChEPS) is the joint-cooperation of Petroleum Institute of Thailand, Petrochimical Industrial Group, Federation of Thai Industry, and Suksapattana foundation. The project is aimed to produce labor force from associate degree level to serve demand of the business operator. Map Ta Phut Technical College is selected as a pioneer institute. The program applies both theoretical learning and constructionism aspects.
   
• English Teacher Project. PTT Chemical support hiring English teacher for schools in Map Ta Phut District to solve teacher shortage problem. The Company’s three-year support of the program is to enhance language competency of the youths.

One of the activities that PTT Chemical has conducted is “Kindness for Community”. It is cooperation with PTT Group to establish free-of-charge healthcare clinic to treat general illness and provide healthcare advice to people in Map Ta Phut Muang Sub-District, Rayong. Also, Public Utility for youth project was initiated to provide quality drinking water for students in schools surrounding the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate by installing water tank, pipe, pump, water purifier, etc.

Sports

• Football
  PTTCH Youth Football Club, in cooperation with Rayong Municipal Administration, have organized PTT Youth Football Cup for players under the age 12. This is to encourage youths in Rayong and in Eastern Thailand to spend their free time wisely on exercising and enhancing sport skill. The Company continuously holds the program every year.
  
  
• Tennis
  To promote tennis skill among tennis athlete and children of the Company’s staff, the SPARK project provides funding support and opportunity to children of the Company’s staffs with outstanding sport skill to pursue sport excellence and become national professional athletes. The program will provide good benefit and welfare to employees and their families as motivation for their performance at the Company.

Professional Support and Development

The Company provides professional training to Community’s Housewife Group and encourages the Company’s staffs to buy products produced by people in the surrounding communities.

Support Religion, Culture, and Local Heritage Conservation

The Company gives importance to religion, culture and, local heritage conservation by providing various support activities, such as the annual monk’s robe offering tradition at Samakee Thamothai (Khaosap) Temple, of which the Company has continuously provided support for more than 10 years to novice education leading to Buddhism preservation. Other activities include Buddhist Lent Offering, Good Children with PTT Chemical with devotion of the Company’s staffs to teach meditation to school students in the schools around Map Ta Put Industrial Estate, and Birth Month Good Merit Offering with The Company’s volunteer staffs whose birthdays are on the same month help holding activities for society.
